Maria Kadlecikova

Graduated from Slovak University of Agriculture, Nitra, Slovakia. PhD obtained from agricultural economics. Lecturer, associated professor, vice-rector of university (1972-1992). Permanent Representative of Slovakia to FAO (1993-1997). Director of Agroinstitut (1997-2001). Member of Slovak parliament (1998-2000|, Chair of the Agriculture and Food Safety Committee. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration (May 2001- October 2002. FAO Sub-regional Representative for Central and Eastern Europe (November 2002 to September 2006). FAO Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia, (September 2007 to May 2010). Former FAO Representative in Republic of Armenia (2003-2008), Georgia (2004-2008) and Republic of Moldova (2005-2008).

Recently employed as associated professor at the Slovak University of Agriculture, Department of Management, delivering lectures from food security, agricultural extension and Management of Human Resources at MBA, doctorate and master studies. Coordinator, international expert, advisor for the EU and other international projects on the field of food safety and security, EU integration, harmonization of non-member states with EU legislation. Member of the High Level Experts Panel of the FAO World Food Committee. Doctor honoris Causa awarded by the Ukrainian Life Sciences University and Prof.h.c. awarded by Saint Stephen University, Gödöllö, Hungary.
